Xiaomi 17T Pro

The mid-cycle extension of the Xiaomi 17 series is now official, and there are two devices in the lineup. Xiaomi 17T Pro and 17T are the new models. The Pro is certainly the higher-end version here with a Dimensity 9500 SoC. This is a pure flagship device by the very definition. It’s built around a 4.21 GHz platform and has that 144Hz AMOLED screen as well. It’s a 6.83” 1.5K screen, and the brightness hits 3500 nits (peak). The storage, of course, is UFS 4.1, the very latest. And the Android 16 Hyper OS 3 system comes with the phone out of the box, by default. Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro share the camera systems, but the Pro has one advantage. There’s a 50MP main shooter here, and we have a 50 Telephoto periscope 5X zoom lens. Then comes the 12MP ultrawide. This setup is helped by the Dimensity 9500 chip to push 8K recording at 30 FPS. The vanilla sibling can’t do that. Plus, the Xiaomi 17T Pro also has a way better WiFi 7 and a larger 7000mAh Si/C battery. This is the lineup’s only sibling with wireless 50W input. Again, it’s a proper flagship device. The wired charging speed hits 100W. The screen has an optical fingerprint ID, and the frame contains dual speakers and an infrared port. Xiaomi still can’t compete with Samsung on the software, but the 17T Pro’s hardware easily competes with Galaxy S26, or S26 Plus, for that matter.
