Samsung Galaxy A38

Samsung Galaxy A38 will bring incremental upgrades to the camera quality without changing the hardware. So it’s safe to assume this might be another underwhelming release. Galaxy A38 apparently has the same camera setup as the older A37. A Main 50MP camera spearheads the setup again with AutoFocus and OIS. They’ve reused the 8MP ultrawide and 5MP macro lenses on the Galaxy A38. A 12MP selfie camera is installed at the front. Everything is the same except maybe the sensor size. Samsung may have kept the resolution, but there’s still potential for a better sensor size and aperture, so not all hope is lost. Image Signal Processing and an optimized pipeline might also boost the picture quality on the Galaxy A38. The phone’s default OS would be One UI 9 (Android 17). Yes, there’s still potential for 6 years of OS updates and security. Performance is another category where the Galaxy A38 should bring significant updates. An Exynos 1480 SoC was used on the current Galaxy A37, so in theory the next-gen A38 should get the Exynos 1580. That chip was formerly used on the Galaxy A56, so it’s not all that new. Again, this is just speculation. Every Galaxy phone in 2027 gets a battery upgrade in one way or another. Galaxy A38 could be one of them. 45W PD fast charging should provide backup again. See the preliminary spec sheet below for more details.
